Update on behalf of Auchtertool Action Group (AAG) - 13 August 2026

The Auchtertool Action Group (AAG) formed around 6 weeks ago and have been meeting weekly since then.
We are in full contact with Auchtertool Community Council (ACC) and working alongside them.
As the date for objections has now past, Fife Council are now in the process of uploading all of the objections received, we believe this to be in the regions of 16000.
The next thing the AAG would like to ask of you is to sign the petition for a Moratorium, hopefully this will pause planning applications for all hyperscale data centres until their environmental impacts have been fully assessed. (I will post the link below)
We also have a couple of protests planned if anyone would like to attend. These are as follows:
Wednesday 26th August @ Fife House in Glenrothes, (time tbc)
Thursday 3rd September @ Holyrood (Scottish Parliament Edinburgh) head over for around 11.30am and stay for as little or as long as you like, most of us will go for approximately 2 hours.
If you would like to join in, please let me know.
And finally, we are hoping to organise a public meeting to give a more in depth update in September, (date tbc).
Here is the Link to Sign the Petition calling for a Moratorium:
The Auchtertool Action Group meet weekly on Wednesdays at 7.30pm in Auchtertool Village Hall. If you would like to attend, please email auchtertoolactiongroup@outlook.com.
